Beavertown Brewery has signed up to a major pre-let contract to create its new brewery and visitor centre at Enfield Distribution Park (ENDP).
Aberdeen Standard Investments and development partner Graftongate Investments have agreed an 11,761 sq m pre-let - allowing the tenant to sign the lease before construction starts - for the popular craft beer producers.
The firm signed a 25-year lease that incorporates a production facility and a 1,115 sq m visitor centre.
The pre-let was secured by property consultants Glenny, and the new brewery site called Beaverworld is due to open in spring 2020.
Logan Plant is CEO and founder of Beavertown Brewery, based in Tottenham, and said finding a site for Beaverworld was “an immense journey.” He added: “Staying close to our roots in London, the world’s beer capital, was super important. ENDP offers us the opportunity to build our dreams and bring Beaverworld to life.
“Its connections into London mean we can get the freshest beers on tap or in the fridge as quickly as possible, whilst drinkers can get out to visit us at our new visitor centre easily. This is going to be the world’s best brewery experience!”
Beavertown Brewery will now join DFS and Farmdrop at Enfield Distribution Park. Haseeb Hassan is senior portfolio manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments. He said: “Enfield Distribution Park continues to go from strength to strength, with over 275,000 sq ft of lettings on the estate over the past three years, and we are thrilled to be able to welcome Beavertown Brewery to the estate.”
Colin Beasley, director at Graftongate Investments, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Logan and his team to deliver this pre-let. We have worked hard to ensure the tenants specifications were met and look forward to constructing this state of the art facility over the next 12 months.
Ivan Scott, divisional partner at Glenny, said: “This is a fantastic result for both landlord and tenant. This facility is going to offer a state of the art, high-tech brewery complete with a visitor centre. The building is already well-advanced and Beavertown is a high profile occupier that will offer crucial jobs for the local economy."
